IMPORTANT: High School Literature Homework and Theater Changes

We hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Here are a few notes to set us up well for our return to LCC on Tuesday.

High School Literature students should hit pause on Njal's Saga. If you already did that reading, GREAT! You are ahead of the game for later. If not, no problem. Your NEW ASSIGNMENT FOR TUESDAY is to read ACT I of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest.' If you are in a pinch to lay your hands on a copy before Tuesday, feel free to read this online here: https://folger-main-site-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/2022/11/the-tempest_PDF_FolgerShakespeare.pdf

[If you desire to print Act I out for your student it is 22 pages of text]

Perhaps this is a clue that our Candlemas Term Theater choice has shifted. We will be putting on an all-consortium production of The Tempest. The lower, middle and upper forms will each have a special contribution to the production. High Schoolers should expect to carry the principle parts, and some beginning auditions will happen this Tuesday for Upper HIGH SCHOOL ONLY. Luckily, this reading assingment for Mr. Bleecker will be good prepartion for this. Junior High students will have a brief meeting during afternoon time and should wear appropriate clothing for outdoor time in the final hour (either at Shaw or walking in the area for special topics),

All ELEMENTARY FORMS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR OUTDOOR TIME. It looks like it will be sunny, clear and cold (upper 30's).
