Looking ahead to some spring the dates!

As preparation for our Shakespeare production is in full swing at LCC (thank you Clare!) we want to alert you to some decisions we've made about the timing of the final weeks of rehearsals and the performance.

As you know, April includes a three week break for LCC families as we celebrate Holy Week, Easter Week, and also avail ourselves of the public school vacation. This opens an opportunity in those weeks off to concentrate our efforts on the play with some longer practices during what would normally be our school time together. We hope it will feel!

For those students in the play

please pencil in the following practice days,

roughly 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tuesday April 4th (Holy Week)

Tuesday April 11th (Easter Week)

Tuesday April 18th (Orthodox Easter Week, public school holiday, )

There will likely be a DRESS REHEARSAL

Friday April 21st, roughly 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

And finally, our PERFORMANCE will either be

Saturday April 22nd or Sunday April 23rd in the evening.

The parish in Blackstone will soon confirm whether all of this can work with their calendar, but we have high hopes that these dates and times will ensure that the final weeks of preparation will be fruitful. We also think this timing works well for preserving the academic integrity of the Spring Term, as we will 'start fresh' when we return after the play.

Things appear to be coming together beautifully for A Midsummer Night's Dream. We are eager to see the show!
