Wondering what you are teaching?

We have been wondering too. No, in all seriousness, thank you for the respite of a little break from LCC communication. Please know that we have been working off and on in the background, and we now have the teaching assignments ready, for the most part. The MUCH more complicated project is making all of the teaching assignments work with the schedule. That work has now begun in earnest, but it will take a while. It involves a giant poster board and an ungodly number of sticky notes. Trust us.

In the meantime, take a look at this initial list of teaching roles. Unless we run up against a huge impediment in the scheduling department, these are the likely assignments.

PLEASE DON'T PURCHASE AND PLAN YOUR ASSIGNMENTS JUST YET. That goes for all of the forms. We need to have department meetings first and those should happen next week. Our hope is to do the MATH department meeting at the Yearbook Signing event (that's the next post!), since all of you will likely be there anyway. SCIENCE and HISTORY departments will need to meet on another day next week for a longer conversation to set up the year for success. We will be in touch very soon with our best meeting time possibilities.

As you peruse, if you have any questions or concerns, speak up right away! We want to get this all the way right so the year runs smoothly.

HERE is the list! You will also find a link to the live doc on Google where any changes we need to make will be reflected. The list pasted below shows assignments by teacher. In the live doc you can also see all classes and activities with teachers listed out by Form.

Three terms, 11 weeks each (10 wks of classes; last wk/day of term for exams.)

Martinmas Term = September - Thanksgiving break. (Sept, Oct, Nov)

Candlemas Term = After Thanksgiving - February. (Dec, Jan, Feb)

Annunciation Term = March - End of the year. (Mar, Apr, May)

T/ F NOTE: Our aim is that across most of the Forms, all the Medieval Literature (with the exception of Mr. Bleecker’s class) and History will happen on TUESDAY. All the American/ 20th Century Literature (again, with the exception of Mr. Bleecker’s class) and History will happen on FRIDAY. Please note this if you are teaching any of these classes–in any of the Forms.

STILL NEEDED: several more theater volunteers, depending on number of teams/ plays; volunteer to occasionally drive JH students to Shaw Farm on Tuesdays; Cleaners; Afternoon activities volunteers.

ASSIGNMENTS: [Assignments are tentative and dependent on a working schedule. Days, times, and form 1 and 2 assignments in particular might change. This is our best guess! Please note: If you have a child in the baby room, you should plan on at least some time in the baby room at some point.]
